Okemo Valley Golf
If you love golf, your trip to the Okemo Valley is not complete unless you visit the Okemo Valley Golf Club. New England's first heathland-style course is a tough championship-ready par 70 challenge, and has placed in the top 10 "best public courses in New England". Take a Hike on Okemo's Trail Network
Enjoy beautiful views of the Okemo Valley while hiking the trails on Okemo Mountain. The trails on Okemo offer hiking excursions for every skill level. Most notably, The Healdville Trail climbs Okemo Mountain's 3.340-foot summit, this 5.9 miles round trip offers a hefty half-day hike. Off-mountain, the mile-long Vista Trail is located at Plymouth State Park off Route 100 North and leads to an overlook in the Lakes Region.
The Lakes Region
Located just a short drive from SouthFace Village, Plymouth State Park can be found on the east shore of Echo Lake. With 46 acres of park development and 249 acres of hiking trails, fishing, hunting, gold panning, and primitive camping, this area provides hours of fun for the entire family. Enjoy a day at the beach or set a boat in the water to explore any of the beautiful 5 lakes.
Grab a bike! There are plenty of great places to ride in the Okemo Valley Region and on Okemo Mountain. Trails ranging from 19 to 40 miles long can be found on the Vermont Trail Map website. For the more adventurous, Okemo's Evolution Bike Park is for you. Meandering through open terrain and pockets of forest, while rolling across the naturally rolling terrain, these trails are fun for a variety of riders.
Veteran's Memorial Park
On a warm summer night, Veteran's Memorial Park in the heart of Ludlow Village is a favorite gathering place. One of the most photographed sites in Ludlow, the park is centered around a performing arts gazebo for music concerts, art shows, chicken BBQ's, tag sales, and craft fairs. On selected Sunday evening, summer lawn concerts run throughout the summer, starting at 7 pm. Bring your own chair, relax, and enjoy the music.
Okemo Mountain Fun
You can stay right on Okemo for plenty of summer fun. There is something for everyone on the Mountain. The Adventure Zone holds a day of excitement. Start with a Segway Tour, jump on the lift for a leisurely ride up to the summit or zip down the Mountain on the popular Timber Ripper mountain coaster. Challenge your friends to some mini golf or something a little different, disc golf. Pan for gems, bungee jump, or test your nerve on the Sawyer's Sweep zip line tour. Every Friday night, the Jackson Gore Courtyard comes alive with free concerts, just grab a blanket, pack a picnic, and settle in.
